We are working with former Southern California cop and trainer Darryl Bolke on the Force Option Version; a pocket wrapped around both sides of the holster: allowing for the addition of a Quick strip on one side and a ID and cash on the other. Darryl likes to carry a couple of one dollar bills rubber banded around an old hotel key card or expired gift card. This is part of the Force Option. 1. Hands, palm out, go away! 2. Okay here no go away. 3. If you have to go back into that pocket (Which the thief expects) more force than they bargained for will come out... It's all about the options... Force Options...
Rob started making these for his gun store customers in the early 1990s. Many of the customers worked at the local university and had to carry concealed, because carrying a personal protection weapon was a career ending thing, if caught. He was surprised at how many of these educators chose to carry in spite of their job being on the line. They all related the same thing: they knew just how violent their campus was, and held their own life, and their students life more precious than a job or career. Rob carried one of these of his own making for years before that.
We make this for just about every gun model you can fit into a pocket or briefcase. This allows for the safe carry of your small pistol in your pants pocket, the trigger guard is covered. This preventing keys, pocket knives or spare ammo from getting caught up in the trigger. We build one size for the 1 7/8" to 2" J frames. Please tell us in the notes is you have a 2" J with adjustable sights.
Many women carry Pocket Protectors in their purse pockets to stabilize their gun and prevent things from getting inside the trigger guard. In the warmer Months I often have one of these in my back pocket loaded with snake shot.
